Te-form is most convenient form for conjugation but quite hard to remember.
Just follow the sound you have heard them from Japanese speaker.
ちょっと まって ください → often people say this sentence in Japan.
(please wait for it)
「〜て ください」is request sentence.
「すみません、みちをおしえてください」→ please tell me the location.
「すみません、タクシーをよんでください」→ please call a taxi for me.
